Banksia Ornament

I am really excited about this ornament. I spent a lot of time hollowing it out so the walls are thin. I drilled a hole in the top so I can put a light down in it. I just need to find a bright light. I put a Christmas light in it and it does okay but I want brighter. The top and bottom are made of holly.

This is such a beautiful piece. I would love to see what it looks like with the light! What a unique wood too.

Josh, my oh my!!! When Ruth had me look at these pictures, I thought she was showing me an advertisment for an engraving/carving tool that I saw at a Home Show (because we had just been talking about that). When I found out this was your work...I thought WOW -- I think everything is very professional and we want to order some Christmas ornaments (The Banksia with the light). WE'd like to order 3 of them. They don't have to be exactly alike -- your artistic talent can decide the woods to use with the Banksia. We REALLY do like the Maple with it. Uncle Russ

Josh these are amazing. I can't wait to see pictures of your christmas tree this year. It is going to have the neatest ornaments. I am just amazed at everything you can do.
